This wiki is a work in progress that gathers together examples of programs, policies, and research oncurrent work in the area of schools in disadvantaged communities.The purpose of this wiki is to facilitate the sharing of information on current practices and thought on the positive role of schools to alleviate disadvantages such aspoverty, cultural isolation, and geography. Through our ongoing dialogue, we hopethat this wiki will provide useful information on successful Canadian and US programs and policies, as well as relevant international research.
